Greece produces one of the best quality waters in the world. The main sources of water abstraction and the reservoirs of “EYDAP Fixed Assets” Company are located in pure areas, free from agricultural and industrial activity, so the Greek capital is naturally supplied with water requiring just a little energy consumption.
The main purpose of “EYDAP Fixed Assets” Company is to provide uninterrupted water supply for the customer needs.
The daily quality controls of raw and drinking water, which are carried out 7 days a week in the chemical and microbiological laboratories of EYDAP SA, aim to ensure and certify the excellent quality of water available to the residents of Athens. For this reason, the water quality of four reservoirs, Marathon, Yliki, Mornos and Evinos, is closely monitored, with on-site visits, sampling and analysis at least eight (8) times per year, as well as the quality of drinking water in the water supply network with daily sampling and analysis to immediately identify and deal with potential problems that may arise in a timely manner.
